STRANGE AND INTERESTING APPLICATIONS – Pianoplan: a great little genius

A little ant that slowly, but strongly, moves a very bulky load. This could be the similarity of the moving made the last April with the stairclimber Pianoplan Horizontalat the ex Manifattura Tabacchi in Rovereto, north of Italy.
Two cableways, decommissioned by a ski resort in Trentino, were moved starting from the ground floor and climbing the stairs to the second floor of the building, which now houses young companies, research laboratories and services in the “green” sector.

These are two good examples of reuse: cableways have now been redesigned as a place of relaxation-reading for employees of companies that have found home there, and the building itself is a stunning example of industrial reuse.

The stairclimber Pianoplan has therefore lent its power to move two bulky items on two long flights of stairs. In fact, Pianoplan is ideal for the transport on stairs of refrigerators, safes, photocopiers, vending machines, appliances, as well as pianos.

4 controls are enough to move objects up to 600 kg: in fact the console presents a joystick combined to a control for moving the loader forward, one to take it back, one for lifting and finally a fourth for the lowering.
