PEOPLE ON THE MARKET: C and M ENGINEERING from Peru

In this issue we have interviewed the engineer Isaac Flores, director general of C&M Engineering from Lima, Perù

1. What is your main activity?
C&M Engineering SAC is a Peruvian company dedicated to the construction and maintenance of high-voltage transmission systems and civil construction.
We hope to reach the leadership in the service companies like ours on the basis of ability and professionalism of our technicians, with great experience. Our staff has been trained to find innovative and practical solutions to the many problems encountered in electrical infrastructure, maintaining consistency between technical and economic aspects without excluding the aspects of a social nature.

2. When did you start?
We started in 1998 developing al lover the electricity sector and maintaining a quality policy that has given many hits, especially during the last 8 years. We have given service to various domestic and foreign companies distinguishing us for completion of work on schedule and the complete satisfaction of our customers, aspects that is our best business card.

3. How did your company evolved in these last years?

Our company had a rapid growth thanks to the proper investment in our human capital and the proper functioning of the machinery that we have in our fleet.
Statistics and results show us that in the future we will get a strong growth in Peru because there are still many areas not served by electricity and that will need our service.

4. What is your policy regarding your competitors? Do you present to the market an image of company that understands the nature of the competition and that is proactive?
Our policy with competitors is to always be effective and to get through the human resources market leadership.
We believe that this is our advantage and what sets us apart from the competition.
Our greatest commitment is to deliver the work completed within the predetermined timeframe. More time we earn more time we could give for other customers.

5. How has the market evolved recently?
Today in Peru there are more than 18 projects for the development of energy in rural areas, where there will be need for companies like ours. All these projects will have a duration of more than 15 years. So for this reason, C & M can develop and grow as well as be part of the growth of Peru.

6. How is the assistance service provided for your customers?
We provide a full service:

Maintenance

Our customers come to us with different needs, and we solve with total responsibility and commitment.

7. How big is your fleet?
Today, in total we have 10 machines including hydraulic cranes and aerial platforms.

8. What type of machine do you own?
Our company owns infrastructure and equipment for electromechanical assembly of transmission lines and electrical substations.

9. What is your “recipe for success” – what values are important in your daily work?
The values that help the growth of the company are: truth, pride, hard work, commitment.
Truth and pride are the pillars that help us fulfill on time delivery of services to have customer satisfaction, thanks to the hard work and commitment.

10. How many CTE platforms do you own?
We own 2 B-Lift 150 in our fleet.

11. What characteristics make CTE platforms winners?
Our company was looking for versatile equipment and we found them only by Sithemsa of Peru (CTE dealer).
We purchased 2 platforms choosed by load capacity (200 kg) and outreach (8.9 m).
We liked it immediately for the practical equipment that allows us to cover all the needs in our field of use.
At the moment we work with these platforms in the area of Trujillo and to date we have not received reports of malfunctions, and this gives a lot of credit to the CTE brand.

12. What do your customers want in a platform? What is driving their choice, today?
The customer is always looking for security for their workers. In our field, it requires proper function of the machinery and rapidity of maneuvers since we work at high, medium and low voltage. This allows us to save time and increase the company efficacy.
