IN THE SPOTLIGHT – The new Zed 20.2 is born

CTE presents the new articulated truck-mounted platform with a capacity of 300 kg and 20 m working height, successfully pursuing the objective of increasing the capacity of license B platforms.

Innovation in CTE: the ZED 20.2 is born. The evolution of the ZED 20C with even more “tailored” performances for operators and more “Work Becomes Easy,” the CTE philosophy. As used in the most famous companies that deal with technology, “.2” is just to indicate the development, upgrading from a previous model, with the clear aim of developing continuous innovation. This is a project that has taken shape for the first time with the study and implementation of ZED 21 JH (21 m working height, 300 kg capacity, compact, user friendly technology), introduced last April, and now is evolving to other models, thanks to the great experience of the CTE technicians who use increasingly advanced building technologies and the latest materials such as steel Domex high strength 1200.

The main features of the ZED 20.2:
Increased loading capacity up to 300 kg with the optional load cell. On this side CTE meets the increasing demand of the European market to provide machines with capacities increased on license B for more versatility of use.
One working area (as in philosophy ZED) with maximum performance across the working area
New system of rotation control – the hydraulic rotation lock has been improved
– The performance of the Ring rotation increases from 320 °+320° to 340 ° +340 °
Compactness as the ZED 20C and ZED 20 CH: the stowed height is always of 2.5 meters
– Born with the patented H stabilization with connecting rods: a CTE patent which guarantees the release of the beam, and consequently of the stabilizer, in one movement, without the aid of screw jacks and of cylinders. The H stabilization serves to move closer to the sidewalks and avoid sliding of the stabilizers. It reveals so perfect for all occasions in which we must operate in tight and narrow spaces. The H stabilization also guarantees an excursion of the stabilizer to allow the overcoming of obstacles (eg, sidewalks) up to 220 mm, much higher (83%) than A + A version (120 mm).
New ergonomic protection panel in the basket: to ensure better visibility and ease of use, the controls are positioned tilted towards the operator and repaired by a new hinged lid, more ergonomic previous versions.
New boom design with higher sections that reduce the bending of the boom itself and make the aerial platform even more stable to facilitate the operator at high altitude.
The ZED 20.2 will have its world premiere at the upcoming Vertikal Days to be held at Haydock, Newton-Le-Willows Park Merseyside (UK), 27 and 28 June 2012.
