FAQ – AFTER-SALES

  • When and how should I request the first periodic inspection?
At least 45 days before the 12-month deadline from the date of the entry-into-service / registration declaration, the employer must ask the locally competent INAIL office to carry out the first of the periodic inspections (for mobile elevating platforms mounted on a motorized vehicle, an annual inspection applies).
How to request it: to submit a request for the first periodic inspection of lifting equipment, go to the INAIL website and open the “Certificazione e Verifica” application, then select “CIVA”. Select the “Sollevamento” sector and the “prima verifica periodica” service, click “nuova prestazione” and choose the equipment as already seen for the registration request. Then proceed to enter the required information in the relevant sections.

  • When and how should I request the periodic inspections following the first one?
At least 30 days before the 12-month deadline from the date of the first periodic inspection or the subsequent ones (for mobile elevating platforms mounted on a motorized vehicle, an annual inspection frequency applies), the employer may, at their own discretion, request the periodic inspections following the first one from the locally competent ASL, where provided for by regional law, from ARPA, or from one of the authorized public or private bodies.
How to request it: ASL/ARPA no longer hold this function, so the employer, if wishing to use an Authorized Body, can send the request directly to the chosen Authorized Body, following the procedures set out by that body.
